Mechanical Piping Supervisor

Job description
The main responsibilities are to manage mechanical equipment and piping works within quality, schedule and budget, and avoid claims:
1.1. Quality for Equipment and Piping:
Review supplier quality documentation.
Collect and review supplier documentation such as manuals, shop drawings, inspection reports, materials certificates, FAT report, etc. Save all documentation on SharePoint.
Prepare tracking file to monitor status and provide look ahead of quality inspections.
Conduct material delivery inspections for mechanical equipment, pipe supports, pipe, fittings, in-line instrumentation, internal and with Client.
Prepare material inspection reports.
Conduct work inspections at site (WIR) with subcontractor and with the Engineer/Consultant/Client.
Prepare non-conformities report and non-quality costs. Follow up supplier corrective actions to close NCRs.
Update the excel CFT - Construction Follow-up tool – as progress is based on QC inspections.
1.2 Supervise Mechanical & Piping works during shop fabrication, erection and pre-commissioning:
Prepare detailed sequence for installation of equipment and piping, in coordination with Engineering and Civil partner
Coordinate with various parties on Traffic management plan
Prepare detailed method statements, procedures, and ITP / ITR and secure ENGINEER’s approval.
Prepare with work permits
Review and comment Engineering deliverables such as equipment supplier drawings, puddle pipe drawing, pipe support drawings, isometrics, civil guide drawings, GA drawings, equipment list, 3D model, pipe support drawings, etc)
Prepare BOQ and MTO as necessary (embedded items, pipe supports, etc), with marked-up drawings
Responsible for preparing and accepting handover from Civil for area in charge.
Conduct civil handover inspections and surveys at site.
Attend coordination meetings with the Civil partner and Civil Supervisors.
Attend coordination meetings with mechanical and piping subcontractors.
Participate to construction schedule preparation, look ahead, manpower and equipment resource loading.
Oversee piping prefabrication: SS, CS pipe spooling, support and structure shop fabrication.
Oversee fabricated equipment local fabrication.
Manage subcontractors for mechanical equipment, and above ground/underground piping (GRP, SS, CS, PVC, ABS, HDPE, etc) installation and testing to ensure quality works in line with construction schedule and avoid claims.
Manage and supervise direct construction manpower (welders, fitters, helpers, scaffolders, etc).
Conduct site inspection and coordinate with QC to ensure all ITP / test sheets are completed. Provide updates for weekly reports.
Prepare weekly progress reports and KPI for mechanical equipment and Piping.
Responsible for the safety of the work and must coordinate with the HSE manager.
Ensure proper Safety in work areas.
Prepare punch list and the follow up.
During Commissioning and Operations:
Conduct pre-commissioning and process commissioning.
Assist for maintenance of mechanical equipment.
