Who are we looking for?

Skills:
Some experience with SolidWorks, idealy in routing and weldments.
Some familiarity with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping standards.
Familiar with AutoCAD (min. AutoCAD 2010).
Strong drawing and detailing capabilities.
Proficient in MS-Office (especially MS Excel).
Able to learn and use in house tools and 3rd party software.
Excellent communication skills with ability effectively present information to project and functional management and to customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills
Self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player

Education:
In second year or greater of a Mechanical Engineering diploma interested in CADD design.

This opportunity is intended for current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term. It is not open to candidates who will have graduated prior to the start of this position. Please note that this position does not provide a subsidy for relocation expenses. What will you be doing?

The Position

As the Mechanical CADD Designer you will be joining a fast paced, creative environment as part of the North America Mechanical Design team.In this role you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of Design Drafting.You will gain exposure supporting the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams and assist the greater organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.

Nature of work

In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

·Aid in developing, updating, and design of Equipment Arrangement, Facility Arrangement, detailed Fabrication and vessel drawings of our equipment for production.

·Prepare Bills of Materials and documentation required for procurement.

·Provide support to resolve / clarify fabrication or production issues.

·Participate in process improvements and innovation.

·Perform other design duties as required.

·Ensure policies and procedures are followed as per quality requirements.

·Managing multiple priorities to meet expected project due dates.
