Description :

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the effective and profitable conduct of the service function in that portion of the customer assigned under the direction of the Account Manager.

The candidate is responsible for fulfilling customer and prospect operations. The role also includes supporting sales and service function of assigned area, as well as providing organizational and training assistance to the sales and service team in accordance with company policy.

Job Objectives

1. To carry out the corporate goals at the customer level of

(a) Effective Service on contractual scope of work

(b) Increase customer satisfaction on KPI performance

(c) Collaborate with customer on Value generation plan

2. To continue to develop proficiency as a water treatment service provider. To develop a professional image to the customer and throughout SUEZ WTS through effective communication. This includes the proper use of service reports, interoffice, letters of correspondence to the customer and letters of evaluation of laboratory analysis.

Note: the Field Engineer must develop a proficiency in English and is capable of
doing well in any national English proficiency exam, such as TORIC or similar
test.

3. To aid in any way possible in providing and improving a program of personnel
development within the sales and service team.

4. To ensure a favorable SUEZ WTS reputation at the client level through professional
action in the plant.

5. To ensure that adequate service level to manage the customer expectation. A
service schedule must be used to develop a service program for each customer.
This plan should take into consideration special analysis that you may want /
need to complete through the year. Reporting and documenting every aspects of
services and sales function is a major requirement.

6. To become expert in making equipment inspections and subsequent recommendations
for chemicals / water treatment program changes to improve results as necessary.

7. Controlling the amount of extra service provided to the customer, unless in a sales
situation. Extra Service includes extra lab work, metallurgical analysis on
non-critical system, extra service at the plant site when not required by
unusual circumstances.

8. To develop product and product application knowledge and system knowledge so that complete service is given to the customer. To ensure that preventive troubleshooting is adequately performed in all accounts, and that only technically correct recommendations are made to clients.

9. To feedback information to the Account Manager ideas for new products or new
fields.

10. To maintain all chemicals inventories up to date so that product outage does not
occur.

Preliminary Requirement

- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering/Petroleum or Chemistry/Application Chemistry.

- Minimum three years' experience of technical sales & service or field sales & service support in Water treatment or Specialty chemical industry.

- Working knowledge of cooling towers, boilers, reverse osmosis, and waste water
treatment systems, Refinery and Petrochemicals process.

- Have a good health record and fit to work in Petrochemical, Oleochemicals and
Refinery plants

- Possess an own transport (car) and a valid driver's Licenses and acceptable motor
vehicle record.
