Job Location - Derbyshire (Commutable from Nottingham, Mansfield and Chesterfield )

Our client specialise in the design and marketing of specialist technical equipment. Their experienced team develop innovative designs for national and international customers.

They are looking for a Junior Magento developer to join the in-house web development team.

Reporting to the Online Services Manager you will play a key role in the on-going development and management of online operations. You will oversee the operational side of both client sites offering technical support internally to individuals using Magento and WP. Furthermore, you will provide support in terms of order processing, warehouse management and logistics.

Desirable skills and Experience:

• Magento
• Object-Oriented PHP
• MariaDB or MySQL
• WordPress
• HTML5, CSS3 - responsive design principles
• CSS pre-processor (Compass, SASS, LESS)
• jQuery/Prototype
• Server administration via SSH/Telnet
• Ability to use Source Control (SVN, Git or Mercurial)
• Knowledge of Magento MVC

Job Requirements:

• A 2.1 or predicted in Computer Science or a related degree discipline
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job
• Object-Oriented PHP and exposure to Magento.
