At Steerlab, our mission is to empower PreSales teams to win more deals. We do so by automating their response processes to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), Security Questionnaires and other vendor questionnaires with AI.

By leveraging fine-tuned language models and Multi-Modal agentic AI systems, we provide factual answers, elevate writing quality, and deliver actionable insights that significantly increase win rates. Job Description

TL; DR

We are seeking a Founding Account Executive (full-cycle) to help turn founder-led sales into a repeatable, scalable sales motion and close deals consistently

This is an early-stage, outbound-heavy sales role : prospecting, follow-ups, closing. You sell pain, vision, roadmap, and partnership

We’re a lean, pragmatic team of builders. No sales theater, no unnecessary meetings, just focused people shipping product and closing real customers

Your core mission

You will work closely with the founders to turn founder-led sales into a repeatable, scalable sales motion .

Concretely, you will:

· 
Generate pipeline through outbound (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, etc.) and help establish a predictable acquisition motion

· 
Own the full sales cycle from first touch to close, with a strong focus on closing consistently and predictably

· 
Sell to Presales, Proposal Managers, Security and Sales leaders in mid-market and enterprise B2B SaaS, as well as other industries

· 
Co-sell with the founder on strategic deals, then help make those wins repeatable

· 
Operate in an environment where a lot still needs to be built and turn ambiguity into execution

· 
Bring structure where it matters (follow-ups, deal control, CRM hygiene) to enable future scale

This role marks a pivotal chapter for Steerlab as we evolve from founder-led deals into a repeatable sales engine, ready to be scaled across a growing team.

Preferred Experience

We’re looking for someone who is hungry, hands-on, and comfortable in early-stage environments.

You:

· 
Have 2–5 years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in an early-stage or fast-moving environment

· 
Have done real outbound in the trenches and don’t hide behind inbound or brand

· 
Are comfortable with high activity levels and sustained outbound volume

· 
Can clearly talk numbers: quota, deals closed, ACV, activity

· 
Want to help build the sales motion, not just run someone else’s playbook

· 
Are coachable, direct, and comfortable with frequent, honest feedback

Recruitment Process

Our hiring process is designed to identify sales profiles who thrive in early-stage environments, take ownership, and know how to create and close opportunities in the real world.

· 
Initial Interview (30 min) : A conversation with the CEO to understand your background, your numbers, your sales experience, and to share more context on the role and Steerlab. This is a mutual fit check.

· 
Sales working session (60–90 min): A practical session focused on how you sell. This includes a mix of exercises such as prospecting scenarios, and walking through how you would run and close a deal. We care about how you think, react, and execute.

· 
Final conversation & cultural fit (30 min): A final discussion to align on expectations, ways of working and values, followed by reference checks.
