Content and Communications Intern (Thought Leadership)
Stage Paris (Paris)
Job description
About
Stories Across Borders (SAB) is a non-profit initiative that fosters global citizenship through the power of storytelling. The initiative connects audiences with inspiring speakers who share real-life experiences of living, working, and collaborating across cultures.
Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a Content and Communications Intern who will help shape and scale the thought leadership of Stories Across Borders. Your work will support our outreach to communication partners (magazines, journalists, newspapers) and help translate our ideas into content that resonates with the general public through articles, LinkedIn, newsletters, and short video scripts.
You will work closely with the founders and collaborate through a fast editorial rhythm: three short editorial touch points per week, plus async work in Notion and Google Docs. You will start from an existing internal thought leadership document (around 10 pages) and turn it into clear, compelling, publishable content, adapted to different channels and formats.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both journalistic storytelling and sharp brand copy, and who wants to contribute to a mission driven movement while building a strong writing portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Thought Leadership and Editorial Production
·
Turn a long form internal document into publishable assets: articles, posts, newsletters, and pitches
·
Draft LinkedIn posts (target: 1 per week) and support long form LinkedIn articles
·
Develop a signature article suitable for publication with a magazine or newspaper partner
·
Help build partner ready narratives for journalists and communication partners
·
Draft press and outreach pitches tailored to specific publications and editorial angle
Repurposing Across Formats
·
Repurpose one article into 2 to 3 LinkedIn posts and one newsletter
·
Write scripts for short social media videos, adapted for clarity, punch, and pacing
·
Maintain consistency in messaging while adapting tone to the channel, from more complex written pieces to accessible video scripts
Light Reporting and Interviews (when relevant)
·
Occasionally interview speakers or partners to capture stories and insights
·
Write in a reporter voice for SAB, depending on the format and platform
Content Operations
·
Build and maintain a content calendar
·
Propose topics, headlines, hooks, and formats based on our key themes
·
Contribute to light website updates (copy improvements, small page edits)
Preferred Experience
Required
·
Master’s student or high performing Bachelor student
·
Strong professional level English writing (clear, structured, and persuasive)
·
Proven interest in storytelling, journalism, copywriting, or thought leadership
·
Ability to work in an agile way, take feedback well, and iterate quickly
·
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to turn rough ideas into polished outputs
Nice to Have
·
French and/or Dutch
·
Familiarity with Notion and Google Docs
·
Basic experience with WordPress, Canva, and or Brevo (or motivation to learn on the job)
·
Comfort using modern AI tools to improve drafting, editing, and research workflows
What Makes You Stand Out
·
You can write both like a journalist and like a brand, depending on the channel
·
You have strong editorial judgement: you can spot what matters, what is unclear, and what will resonate
·
You enjoy shaping narratives that are inspirational, a wake up call, and grounded in real world relevance
·
You can simplify complex ideas without losing depth
·
You care about staying mainly apolitical while still being meaningful and courageous in the message
