Job Description

As a Brand & Growth Marketing Intern, you will work directly with the founder to help bring Kroots to market and build early brand awareness. This is a hands-on startup internship for someone who wants to contribute to a real launch, test ideas quickly and see the direct impact of their work.

Your main mission will be to support the launch of the Kroots brand and help us reach parents, families, communities and potential partners.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Helping prepare launch content, product pages and campaign materials

• Building and managing contact lists for journalists, influencers, libraries, bookshops and community partners

• Helping develop partnerships for distribution, visibility and community building

• Creating and executing a weekly content calendar for social media

• Supporting webshop optimisation through WooCommerce

• Tracking outreach, responses and learnings in a structured way

By the end of the internship, success would mean that Kroots has a clearer launch rhythm, stronger brand visibility, an active content calendar and new partnership conversations.

The internship starts on July 1st, 2026 and preferably runs full-time for two to three months. The role can be hybrid or full-time in Brussels. An office space in Brussels will be provided, as well as food and drinks during the internship.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for someone who is excited by startups, storytelling, children’s media and brand building.

You could be a good fit if you:

• Are studying or recently studied marketing, business, communication, media or a related field

• Have strong communication skills in English

• Are creative, proactive and structured

• Enjoy working in a small startup environment where things move quickly

• Like turning ideas into concrete actions

• Are comfortable creating content and reaching out to people

• Have an interest in children’s media, storytelling, education, culture or impact-driven entrepreneurship

Being able to write or communicate in Dutch is considered a plus, but not a hard requirement.

Experience with tools such as Notion, WooCommerce, Brevo or Make is also a plus, but not required. More important is your ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
