Job Summary

DrFelix, a UK based healthcare technology startup, is looking for an undergraduate or recent graduate to work as part of our growing team this summer. The role will give the successful candidate medical experience, as well as marketing experience (identifying and researching new markets) and exposure to the fast paced world of startups.

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing medical articles peer reviewed by our doctors to be published on our blog and other health platforms
• Researching the development of new products and services to expand our offering
• Marketing work (working on the content and social media channels)
• Outreach work, to establish new relationships to aid our SEO strategy
• Administrative support on an ad-hoc basis
• Medical content research and identify innovative marketing strategies to raise brand awareness
• Working on own initiative with financial support from the company to drive your own marketing campaign

Terms of Employment

• 4 month employment duration ideal for a summer internship
• A minimum of 20 hours per week
• Remote working from your own place of choice
• Performance based bonus at the end internship

About the company

DrFelix Online Doctor & Pharmacy is a UK based healthcare start-up building the leading online doctor service across Europe. We are looking to change the way healthcare is delivered, using technology to put the patient in charge.
DrFelix makes it easy for patients to communicate with doctors, manage their health and order prescription medication online. Our patients complete online assessments and will soon engage in real-time video consultations with real doctors. The result is either mail order delivery of medication or a paper prescription that can get dispensed at local pharmacies.

Our doctors and the rest of the team are based in Glasgow and we treat patients across Europe, including the UK, Germany and Ireland. DrFelix has a young, fun and ambitious team built of entrepreneurs, doctors and developers, all passionate about delivering healthcare that doesn’t suck.

We are currently looking to establish a new office base in Scotland with exciting growth plans so you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas that could be implemented and have the potential to shape our company.

Desired profile

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and desire to work in the healthcare sector. Preferably they will be studying for a medical degree or have recently graduated from one. Candidates who have not studied a medical degree but with a desire to work in the healthcare sector are welcome to apply.
We are also interested in candidates studying for a degree in IT and programming and digital marketing. The successful candidate should be eager to learn and be a proven self-starter. Some experience in online marketing, SEO is preferred.
