Job description
The maintenance technician contributes to Starbucks’ success by providing technical support to process team partners to ensure that all plant machinery is performing at the optimum level and is able to be operated in a safe manner.
The maintenance Technician will work in 3 shifts
Your key responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Accompanying external vendors for their maintenance work on site;
· Checking and signing off work performed by external vendors and communicating status and quality of the work performed to maintenance planner/buyer and process supervisor;
· Leading review of performance of maintenance tasks by external vendors and maintenance technicians during the maintenance meetings;
· Requesting emergency parts to be purchased;
· Corrective maintenance: carrying out repair off all plant machinery to ensure the optimum performance of the equipment. This includes machine modifications, manufacturing parts and implementing modifications to improve safety, quality, efficiency, etc.;
· Preventive maintenance: carrying out preventive maintenance on all plant machinery as per preventive maintenance schedule;
· Carrying out plant work orders, accurately and on time. Reporting back to supervisor and maintenance planner/buyer in case maintenance is not performed;
· Responding to call's from production partners requiring repairs and training partners to conduct basic operational repairs for themselves, thus maximizing machine uptime;
· Training, coaching and instructing partners in routine preventive maintenance;
· Undertaking repairs and general maintenance to all facilities and services as required;
· Maintaining coffee quality through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, product specifications and quality procedures;
· At times performing any other tasks to support the total operations of the plant;
· Following all safety and security guidelines;
· Participating in process improvement activities for the ARP;
· Ensuring procedures, OPL’s, forms etc. related to your job function are regularly reviewed and updated;
· Maintaining equipment of (significant) capital investment and handling all aspects of roasting, packing and warehousing coffee;
· Initiating and supporting continuous improvement to all processes to promote and maintain safety, quality and production output;
· Demonstrating safe working procedures.
Your profile
The qualified Maintenance Technician we’re looking for has a minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and trouble shooting in a (food) manufacturing environment.
Must haves
· MTS electric level, through education or experience;
· Experience in a similar environment and/or performing a similar role;
· Specialized knowledge of machinery, processes, practices and work routines;
· Experience with the GMP working method: ‘Clean as you go’, food safety ('red tag');
· Knowledge of maintenance inventory and planning system MP2 administration.
Nice to haves
· NEN 1010 & NEN 3140 certified;
· Good understanding of PLC programming.

· Excellent verbal and writing skills in English;
