Description

About the Job

Chain of Events is a leading tech conference firm founded by Michael Amar, a serial tech entrepreneur and investor, and Co-founder of Paris Blockchain Week and RAISE Summit. Our two flagship events are the largest in Europe dedicated to Blockchain and AI, featuring the world’s biggest startup competitions. Our audience and clients include some of the most influential global C-level executives and decision-makers in Tech. While we're headquartered in Paris, we don’t operate like a French company trying to go international. We are international by design, DNA, and mindset.

Does this sound like you?

·  You’re completely fluent in English. French is required. You’re comfortable working with a diverse range of personalities and nationalities.
·  You’re curious, agile, and smart, and constantly looking to learn.
·  You have at least several months of internship experience, and people have always seen you as the responsible one, whether in school, work, or side projects.
·  You’re interested in new technologies and thrive in fast-paced environments. You’re comfortable with constant change and adapt quickly.
·  You're resourceful. You know where to find the right information, separate what's useful from what's not, and piece everything together to make smart decisions.
·  Your writing is clear and effective. No one reads your work and wonders, “Where’s the TL;DR?”
·  You take initiative. You'd never walk past a kink in the carpet without smoothing it out!
·  You juggle multiple tasks with ease and never let details slip.
·  Your friends describe you as reliable. If you say you'll do something, you get it done.
·  You're comfortable working independently but know when to ask for help.
·  You don’t blindly trust chatbots. AI tools can be powerful, but they also make mistakes. You know how to cross-check, verify their output, and apply critical thinking. You know a thing or two about prompt engineering. If you used ChatGPT to write your cover letter, you engineered your prompts to make the words sound like you.
·  Your discretion & reliability make people comfortable sharing sensitive information with you.
·  You’re available for at least 6 months (Start September or October) and you’re based in Paris (our office is located in the 17th arrondissement). Past managers would be happy to vouch for you during a reference check. Please note that we won’t contact anyone without your approval.

What Will I Be Doing?

Our philosophy is to bring talented people on board and shape roles that maximize their strengths. This is a role with broad exposure to C-level and operational challenges in running a business. Primarily, you'll help the team run more efficiently, using data analysis, creative thinking, automation, and AI where practical. Your mantra: “Free us some time” . You will report to the Chairman and collaborate closely with the founders.

That means:

·  Figuring things out as you go. We don’t expect you to know everything upfront.
·  Working smart. If something can be automated, streamlined, systematized, or optimized using AI or tools, you’ll find a way to do it.
·  Asking for help when needed. We work collaboratively and don’t believe in silos.
·  Thinking of research as a means to an end. You’ll spend a lot of time digging into topics, checking that tasks are executed, following up with different teams, managing projects, synthesizing information, and turning insights into action.

What Will Success Look Like for Me?

→ In 1 month:

·  You’ve taken ownership of at least one key task, reducing our Chairman's workload.
·  You're actively connecting with the wider Chain of Events team to understand team structures, roles, and processes.

→ In 3 months:

·  You’re running several projects for our chairman & founders.
·  You’ve built efficient, repeatable systems that save time.

→ In 6 months:

·  You’ve significantly improved how our office and operations run.
·  You’ve optimized key workflows to save time and reduce manual effort.
·  You’ve completed several complex projects, directly contributing to Chain of Events’ goals.

What’s in it for me?

·  Fast learning. Exposure to a broad range of challenges and opportunities.
·  Ownership and autonomy. You’ll have real ownership and autonomy in your role, with the freedom to streamline, improve, and iterate on systems. You’ll be trusted to make decisions quickly, with minimal friction and no unnecessary red tape.
·  A collaborative team. You’ll work with friendly, talented, tech-savvy colleagues who value efficiency and continuous improvement.
·  Room to grow. Once you've mastered your role, take on larger challenges and responsibilities.
·  Proximity to Management and C-level.

How Do I Know if Chain of Events Is Right for Me?

·  You already live and breathe our cultural values (agility, creativity, premium, client-first, and no is never an answer).
·  You’re comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional projects. Maybe you even love it.
·  You love jumping in and learning new things. You’re constantly seeking new challenges.
·  You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are interested in Tech, especially Blockchain & AI.

Please submit your application, including a CV and a cover letter, to hr@chainof.events, we will respond to every application that includes a cover letter.

Make every future a success.
