Your Mission – Legal Operations Intern
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Intern to join our dynamic and international team. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Okomera’s legal processes and compliance efforts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain invaluable experience in startup legal operations, contracts management, and regulatory compliance within the biotech sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Legal and Contractual Support
· Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements (e.g., NDAs, supplier agreements, client contracts).
· Assist in maintaining and organizing Okomera’s contract management database.
· Collaborate with the Legal team to support negotiations and ensure contracts align with company objectives.
· Regulatory and Compliance Assistance
· Support regulatory filings and documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
· Assist with GDPR compliance and other relevant data protection regulations.
· Corporate Governance
· Assist in preparing legal documents for board meetings and investor relations.
· Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
· Process Optimization
· Contribute to developing and improving internal legal processes and workflows.
· Assist in creating templates, policies, and procedures for legal and compliance activities.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, and HR to provide legal guidance and support.
· Assist in legal training sessions for internal teams.
What You’ll Bring
· Academic Background : Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in Law (business law, intellectual property, or compliance preferred).
· Strong Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a strong advantage.
· Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment.
· Attention to Detail : A meticulous approach to legal documents and processes.
· Tech-Savvy : Comfortable using digital tools and software for legal and contract management.
