SALARY: £22,220 - 27,500

SSE is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK, successful in the UK energy supply business, with over 10 million customers across our various brands. SSE Power Distribution, part of the SSE group, owns and operates two electricity distribution networks and one transmission network, comprising some 123,000 substations and 127,000km of overhead lines and underground cables, distributing electricity to 3.5 million homes and businesses in the North of Scotland and Southern England. Our team provide excavation, cable laying and reinstatement services within SSE Power Distribution. We are looking to recruit Reinstatement Operatives for our teams in Poole and New Forest Depot.

As a Reinstator you will be responsible for undertaking reinstatement works on the highway and private land. You may also be asked to assist with other ad hoc tasks at the request of a Manager. This is a physically demanding role and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions. You may be required to undertake standby duties in response to faults overnight and at weekends, as part of a rota. Safe working practices must be adhered to at all times.

A full, current driving licence is essential as travel may be required. A NRSWA Streetworks ticket, and experience of operating plant and the relevant tickets/ qualifications would be an advantage. You should be self motivated and able to work as part of a team.
