Mobile Workforce Management (MWM)

£29,894 - £39,479 (SSE Salary Range 06)
In line with the Government mandate, SSE are planning to deploy Smart meters to its entire Domestic and SME customer base by end 2020. There will be a strong focus on delivering a safe, operationally effective deployment, utilising intelligence to drive a "right first time" approach.
MWM Planning and Governance are a new team set up within Metering Customer Operations to manage the schedule of work created for Smart and Heritage jobs in our recently delivered MWM Application. Alongside schedule, dispatch and jeopardy management, MWM Planning and Governance is to become the fulcrum and heartbeat of the SSE Metering business, enabling efficiency and effectiveness through collaborative working, and the ability to exploit this powerful new technology.
You will support the Metering Dispatch & Jeopardy team and the Smart and Heritage Field teams by monitoring and analysing the recently implemented Oracle MWM system, including the scheduling system and optimisation criteria.
You should have previous experience in the energy sector with a good understanding of metric development, performance reporting, advanced spreadsheet modelling using MS Excel and experience of applying analytics in a logical and structured manner. Experience with developing SQL reporting, business analysis techniques, or a financial background would be beneficial.
You should be confident using business analyst tools to identify root causes, offer analytical expertise and reports, and show a good understanding of user requirements across many business processes and products. You will have the ability to undertake complex queries and macros and define data modelling criteria using appropriate IT applications and tools with minimal guidance. MS Excel, Access, Query Analyzer, and Visual Basic for Applications will form your standard toolkit. In addition, you should have a good working knowledge of project management methodologies.
Knowledge of Oracle's MWM system stack or experience in another industry related Scheduling system is essential along with proven business analysis techniques.
Furthermore, you should have excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills. You should be skilled at strategic thinking, conflict management, facilitation and managing expectations. Analytical and methodical, you will be adept at planning and prioritising large and often complex pieces of work. You will lead by example and work well in a team, sharing knowledge and expertise to benefit the group, embrace change and drive continuous improvement.
