£16,054 - £21,199 plus Incentive Scheme

Highly successful energy company is seeking well-organised and motivated workers to collect meter readings from domestic and commercial properties in the Poole area. This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.

We are one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK with around 10 million customers across our various brands. Our Metering business is responsible for effectively managing the routine rota reading and meter maintenance activities for our customers, as well as undertaking customer appointment visits for all gas and electricity suppliers.

You'll be working in a fabulous part of the country in a customer-facing role. You will read meters to enable accurate bill production and may walk in excess of 7 miles each day – rain or shine.

You should enjoy working outdoors in all weathers. Evening and weekend work will be involved. Previous customer service experience would be an advantage. As the role evolves with the advance of metering technologies, you may have the opportunity to develop your skills further, explaining to the customer the benefits associated with Smart gas and electric meters and the relevant communication devices. This may involve training to become a Smart Metering Operative, installing new metering and providing energy advice to our customers.
