SALARY £23,769- £35,203 (salary based on experience and level of qualification)

If something unexpected causes a power cut in our regions, it is our job to fix it as quickly and as safely as possible.
A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Fitter to join the Maintenance and Inspection Team in the Thames Valley Region. The Maintenance and Inspections Team is responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair work on SSE's substation plant and equipment throughout the area. As an Electrical Fitter you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, undertaking fault finding and repairs, as well as planning and organising maintenance work.
To be successful in the role, ideally you will have knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical fitting work. You should be committed to working safely at all times and will demonstrate a positive and flexible attitude in the workplace, together with strong communication skills and the ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvements. Due to the nature of the role a current full UK driving licence is essential as you may also be required to participate in a standby rota and out of hour's emergency work.
For Trainee Electrical Fitters can expect a salary up to £19,235 depending on experience. If you are a experienced electrical fitter but have not yet attained SAP status, you will be considered for this role at grade 4 (£23,769 to £31,395). If you have attained SAP status you will be considered for this role at grade 5 (£26,653 to £35,203).
