Salary: £20,182 - £26,653 (SS03) depending on experience

The Commercial and Connections team are around 60 strong, and situated across the country in locations such as Perth and Portsmouth. We are the first point of contact for customers wishing to have a new electricity connection, increase the size of their existing connection, install generation, or move the equipment supplying their property. We're here to help whether our customers are building a single home, housing development, industrial development, generation development or independent distribution network. Our responsibility is to respond to challenging changes in our licence obligations, growing levels of competition and play a key role in progression to a low carbon future.
We are looking to recruit a Connections and Engineering Advisor in to our office in Portsmouth. In the role you will be responsible for talking to our customers and guiding them through the process of applying for new connections as well as processing customer's applications, increased demand, moving of existing equipment along with a variety of other general enquiries.
Primarily using PROMIS (our project management system) you will process applications making sure all the documents needed have been received so that we are able to prepare an accurate quotation. Due to regulation placed on us it is extremely important that you can produce high quality of work, paying close attention to detail while making sure applications are passed to the quotation stage in a timely manner.
To be successful you will have previous experience in a customer focused role. You will possess the ability to motivate people and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You should be organised, flexible and self motivated, with strong time management and communication skills. This is a busy role therefore it is important that you have the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a busy, pressured but also exciting environment. Basic I.T. and telephone skills are essential.
