Job description
Our client is looking to recruit HGV 1 Hatchery Driver to be based in Ower – SO51 6AH.
Main Duties:
- This role is responsible for safely collecting eggs from the breeding farms and delivering them to the hatchery and safely delivering chicks to our broiler farms.
- It will require working effectively within the time schedules and company and legislative standards so that eggs and chicks can be transported safely.
- The role requires a degree of physical demand, such as lifting equipment in the region of 20kgs.
- Hours of work are 3 x 40 hours per week and 2 x 48 hours per week on a 5 week rota system.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Applicants must have a Category C+E licence and experience of driving L.G.V. rigid vehicles.
- Drivers must also have a valid driver qualification card. Experience of articulated vehicles is essential.
- An understanding of farm work will also be an advantage.
- To be successful in this role you will have the ability to work as part of a team and have a flexible, can do approach.
