Job description
Our client has a really exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst who is looking to develop their commercial experience with a focus on indirect business spend and manage high impact projects. This Surrey based role offers a genuine opportunity to shape the business in a meaningful way whilst learning skills on the job. For the right candidate this role will offer a clear career path as well as the opportunity to work in an international fast moving business within our Global Supply Chain and Procurement functions.
This is a professional role, within a complex business, requiring strong commercial acumen, and a good mix of relationship skills and analytical capability. If you are partially (or fully) CIPS qualified it would be an advantage but a strong desire to develop in the role is key. If you get a buzz from win-win negotiations, business analysis and enjoy project work, this could be the ideal challenge for you.

Key Responsibilities
Drive strong commercial value across the indirect procurement category through a focus on delivery of cost-reduction initiatives and on implementing new products or services. The initial scope and focus is the UK business with potential expansion into international markets or other categories.
Specific Tasks
- Deliver cost reduction projects to support on-going business objectives
- Negotiate and draft contracts or service level agreements (typically up to £5m p.a.) in accordance with Group policy and processes.
- Source a range of diverse products and services, many of which are specific to the Rentokil Initial business. This includes, but is not limited to:
Energy
Marketing
Travel
Supply Chain - Logistics
Temporary Labour
Sub contractors
Waste Mgt
Uniforms
Plants / Flowers
- Work closely with the Head of Global Fleet & Indirect Procurement to propose new ideas, agree plans for implementation and deliver positive results - at pace
- Management of allocated suppliers to drive quality standards, adherence to product specifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support acquisition projects with supplier analysis and savings proposals
- Add value to the business through:
- Analysis of category spend data (up to £100m per category) to identify critical suppliers and potential cost saving opportunities.
- Market research to keep up to date on changing product trends, innovation, price movements and legislative requirements
- Rationalising the vendor and product base to reduce complexity, and deliver improvement opportunities
- Working with appropriate stakeholders as defined by the Global Category governance models, to collate key supplier and contract performance measurement data
- Mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement
- Leverage use of technology such as e-procurement tools and processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
- Good capability in the use of key tools within the Microsoft Office suite
- CIPs accreditation (or partly accredited) is desirable

- Strong track record in delivering results at pace and to high standards
- Demonstrable experience of supplier / customer management; achieving measurable success in a professional manner
- Stakeholder engagement with experience of adding commercial value
- Evidence of good business / procurement knowledge
