Sorapol is the London atelier of Bangkok born design prodigy Sorapol Chawaphatnakul and British artist Daniel Lismore. It is a vibrant fashion brand based in Knightsbridge.
We have opportunities to join our in-house Graphic design team . Candidates should ideally be fashion literate and enthusiastic and passionate about the industry.
This internship would suit a graphic design student / recent graduate / junior designer, with an interest in Fashion. The internship is 4 weeks and could potentially lead to employment for the right candidate.
The candidate ideally will have some experience in digital/new media/advertising industry; fashion industry experience preferred.
The most important thing is the level of technical proficiency the use of Design software. You will be under the direction of the Head of Graphics and the Creative Director for the fashion label, so you will be able to learn about the tasks specific to fashion and marketing.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Proven proficiency with industry standard software - Adobe Creative Suite, with intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & Adobe In-design a must.
Designing digital assets such as promotions, technical drawings, social, banners, email marketing campaigns, look books and press kits.
Experience in Textile print design, advanced understanding of textile prints is preferred.
Strong Layout and composition.
Sophisticated sense of typography.
An interest in fashion and the graphic arts with strong commercial awareness
Experience in applying a brand’s look & feel with consistency and attention to detail.
Working with external print suppliers through to final artwork delivery.
Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task with solid organisational and time management.
Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the brand.
You can comfortably talk about your work and articulate the thinking behind it to the rest of the team.
Awareness of visual trends, as well as technological advances.
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task across projects.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment .
Project management from idea conception to artwork delivery.
The position will initially be ideally full time, but we have the flexibility for a minimum of 3 days per week depending on your availability, with more days required during the period of LFW.
Travel and food expenses will be covered for the duration of the internship.
