Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Senior BID Manager to play a key role in our business development efforts. The Senior BID Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to submission, and ensuring the successful delivery of winning proposals. This role requires a strong understanding of the tendering processes for both the public and private market, BID management and project management. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is necessary. Knowledge of and experience in the IT industry is a must.
You have experience in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, coordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.
Qualifications
As Senior BID Manager, you will play a crucial role in the qualification of opportunities and the creation of a winning proposal. This will include the following activities:
· Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients.
· Evaluation and qualification of the opportunities at hand.
· Defining the winning strategy for the proposal.
· Collaborate with technical and non-technical delivery teams to create comprehensive and competitive bid proposals. To prepare a proposal plan that meets the objectives of the proposal budget and timeline.
· Lead the bid management process, including proposal writing and document submission. Follow up on assigned resources to develop the proposal.
· Ensure all proposals are compliant with client requirements and industry standards.
· Track and report on the progress of bids and proposals.
· Work closely with Legal & Finance teams to evaluate the commercial & legal risks.
· Assist writers to deliver quality work.
· Manage a virtual team in order to deliver high quality, winning bids; able to motivate your team.
· Clearly define the scope of work and services offered to the customer and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the customer’s inquiry.
· Provide strategic input to improve the overall bidding process. Obtain feedback from projects for “lessons learned” to incorporate in future proposals.
· Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions.
· Be responsible for stakeholder management & collaboration cross Business Lines within the organization.
· To design future synergies within the Sopra Steria group & adopt existing capabilities, solutions & offerings.
· Studies: bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
· Experience: proven experience in bid management within the IT industry for at least 3 years.
· Languages: you express yourself easily in Dutch (native) and English. A good knowledge of French is a bonus.
· Personal interest: you have a strong understanding of IT solutions and services. You are a real team player who also has a commitment to providing the highest level of service to our internal and external clients. You have the willingness to adapt to changing work environments and priorities.
· Strengths: you have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, excellent project management and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
· Previous hands-on experience in an IT environment is a plus.
· Experience in driving complex project P&L, to assure the profitability of each deal. Experience in financial analysis costing model & optimization is a plus.
· Proven experience in the application of project management methodologies such as Prince2, SAFe or PM², very good knowledge and understanding of the different ITIL-processes and associated delivery models.
· Good time management skills and high degree of self-sufficiency.
· Ability and flexibility to work and deliver against customer deadlines.
· Ability to engage and work with virtual teams remotely.
· Capacity to work in changing teams and able to guide the dedicated team in working in budget and in time.
· Service and result minded, commercially and customer oriented and proactive.
· Ability to challenge colleagues and ensure appropriate responses are secured from the subject matter experts.
· Having any certifications is considered as a plus.
