Job Description
As a Practice Lead you work together with enthusiastic developers and architects at the coolest Python club in the Netherlands.
• You have a vision of the market and use this to generate business and shape projects;
• You support your team, help them find suitable assignments and promote their development.
• As a reliable business partner, you build teams that meet customer expectations and create an environment for success. You will lead the winning bidding processes and contribute to the strategy and execution of innovative solutions as a member of the leadership team;
• As a member of the Open Source Software Development Leadership Team, you contribute to the strategy and execution of a portfolio of innovative solutions. You stay informed of trends and developments and provide direction to the practice, while collaborating with other areas to find customer solutions.
Qualifications
In order to do your work as Practice Lead for the Python practice well and with pleasure, it is important that you have:
• Relevant HBO or WO education, preferably in IT Software engineering, mathematics, physics or technical engineering;
• At least 5 years of experience in agile software development, preferably also as a developer. • At least 2 years of experience in managing a team and facilitating the development of team members;
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Python applications;
• Experience or familiarity with delivering solutions for customers;
• People management: leadership aimed at inspiring, motivating and involving your team and customers;
• Focus on collaboration and building a solid network, both within and outside Sopra Steria
