Job Description

As part of our multi-competency 2nd and 3rd Level Support Team, you will provide Managed Services for clients across Finance & Banking, Government & Public Sector, and Industry Markets. Your responsibilities will include Oracle database administration, software installation, patching, hot-fixing, scripting and automation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will adhere to ITILv3 practices for incident management and troubleshooting, investigating database performance, and providing tuning, storage, and backup optimization advice.

Your expertise will be crucial in implementing, managing, and enhancing availability schemes and recovery plans. Additionally, you will be actively involved in the release management of Oracle-based applications and maintaining PL/SQL programming sets.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following: 

·  You have a Bachelor in Computer Science .
·  You have 2-3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
·  You are experienced in proactively monitoring database systems for performance and capacity, and were responsible for security administration in development, test and production environments.
·  You are experienced in managing Oracle middleware architectures.
·  You commit to quality, have proven problem solving skills and have a thorough approach to work.
·  You have global knowledge of other leading database platforms
·  You are familiar with database-design, installation, administration, understanding and implementation of schemas, interpret and maintain complex SQL queries.
·  You have experience with high-availability and disaster recovery features such as Dataguard, RMAN and RAC
·  You have experience with Oracle AdvancedSecurity with table space encryption
·  You are familiar with Linux, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM server
·  You have a general experience in systems administration and support
·  Communication in Dutch or French and English is required.
