Job Description
Java fluency means you can develop, test and maintain any application that’s written in Java. It means your Java code is clean and efficient and you can assist cross-departmental teams with your interpersonal fluency to deliver high-quality software solutions. You’ll use Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate, and tools like Maven to navigate databases, version control systems (like Git), and innovative methodologies with agility. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements mean you’ll have no trouble debugging and resolving issues in your day-to-day work, or adapting to the requirements of the cutting edge projects Sopra Steria delivers.
Our Developers specialise in application and software development while seamlessly integrating systems, so we never lose sight of our business goals. With an eye towards user experience and productivity, you’ll design, code, and test new functionalities while troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and keeping technical documentation in order. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Requirements:
· Proficiency in Java programming language
· Extensive experience with the Spring Stack (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud)
· Demonstrated expertise in testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance)
· Comprehensive knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)
· Proven experience in DevOps practices
· Thorough understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent
· Fluency in English (required) and Dutch at least on B1 level
