Job Description
As part of the Service team you will have the following responsibilities:
· Provide engineering support related to the ground IT infrastructure solutions, with deep knowledge of scalable and containerised applications across multiple environments.
· Support deployments, reviews, and milestones of the IT infrastructure, in line with operational and project requirements.
· Support LAN/WAN architectures, including routing and switching protocols (such as OSPF and BGP), VLAN design, VPN technologies, and troubleshoot and optimise end‑to‑end network performance.
· Support datacentre environments, hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, or KVM), server and storage platforms, clustering and the operation of platform‑as‑a‑service environments in multi‑tenant setups.
· Deploy and manage infrastructure using automation and IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible or PowerShell, combined with cloud platforms and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Support network and platform security, identity and access management, monitoring and observability, incident response, documentation and adherence to structured operational practices such as ITIL.
Qualifications
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
· University degree (Master's) from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in relevant experience;
· Several years of hands‑on experience supporting and operating complex IT infrastructure environments, preferably in enterprise or mission‑critical settings.
· Proven experience with containerised and scalable application architectures across on‑premises and cloud environments.
· Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, routing and switching protocols ( OSPF , BGP ), VLAN design, and VPN technologies.
· Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response processes.
· Ability to produce and maintain high‑quality documentation.
· Familiarity with structured operational frameworks such as ITIL
· Practical experience with hypervisors such as VMware ESXi , Hyper‑V , or KVM .
· Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
