Job Overview and Responsibilities:

1.Safely operate forklift for most of the work day.

2.Unload, inspect and label drums, totes, bags, and other inbound freight.

3.Accurately pull, stage, inspect, and load finished goods in drums and totes.

4.Pull raw materials and stage for Production.

5.Pull finished goods part drums and stage for topping off.

6.Perform cycle counting of packaged finished goods and raw materials.

7.Inventory newly drummed products each day.

8.Operate yard tractor to move and spot trailers for loading and unloading.

9.Participate in the site’s safety program.

10.Complete timely and accurate paper and computer work.

11.Work overtime as needed on heavy shipping days.

12.Special duties may be assigned as workloads vary in other departments, (like helping Production drum).

13.Pick up trash, sweep, and wash down warehouses periodically.

14.Pull and package samples for shipment to distribution center or for customers.

15. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of high school education or equivalent experience.

Skills:

1. Ability to read and understand instructions and specifications.
2. Ability to write and communicate clearly.
3. Basic personal computer skills helpful for use of Windows and e-mail.
4. Ability to learn and work in Solvay's SAP computer system

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
