Job description

Soho Radio is an online radio station broadcasting live from Soho to the world, featuring two channels: Music & Culture. Our eclectic roster is made up of shows from the likes of music journalist Pete Paphides, dub maestro Dennis Bovell, Hacienda legend Mike Pickering and Primal Scream bassist Simone Marie. Inspired by Soho’s diverse culture, Soho Radio draws together musicians, artists, filmmakers, poets and the generally curious, from across the globe.

We are looking for an intern to help us part time to join the Soho Radio family and help with the upkeep of the station. You must have a passion for music and radio. Roles include:

- Liaising with the listeners / answering their questions
- Liaising with the presenters
- Show upkeep – uploading radio shows to Mixcloud, adding tracklists / tags / descriptions
- Music submission research
- Dealing with PR requests
- Booking in guests for radio shows
- Basic picture, video, and audio editing
- Assisting with administrative tasks

Key skills:

Must be polite, approachable and discreet
Professional and can-do attitude
Able to use initiative
Good understanding of different genres of music
Understanding of social media platforms
Indesign / Photoshop (not necessary but desirable)
Good eye for photography (not necessary but desirable)
