About the role
Working on a shift roster of 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off, based in our dedicated Operations Centre, you'll be providing technical support for our Softcat Cisco Support (SCS) customers. You'll also help the Network & Security Team with their support incident queues.
About you
You'll have existing networking and security skills and be able to analyse Cisco Support calls raised, then troubleshoot issues where possible. The following skills are essential:
· Good general Cisco networking support experience
· Very good telephone manner
· Logical approach with ability to multi-task
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
· CCNA / Cisco Certified Network Associate (R&S)
· Practical experience of router and switch configuration
· Good Cisco software and hardware troubleshooting skills
· At least three years of IT industry experience
Nice to haves
· CCNA / Cisco Certified Network Associate (Collaboration)
· Cisco LAN switch configuration
· Experience with Cisco ASA, security products, CUCM, Wireless
· Previous shift experience
