Job Description

We are looking for a structural engineer to assist in structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·  Review of structural designs for code compliance
·  Structural analysis, document review, and research for root cause evaluation
·  On-site inspections and collection of data
·  Preparation of reports and repair details

Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses:

·  2 to 10 years of experience in the design and/or investigation of structures
·  Experience in the investigation of structural failures and/or preparation of reports for attorney clients preferred.
·  Licensure – EIT min., NYS PE preferred
·  Degree – ABET-accredited undergraduate degree and Master of Science or Ph.D. in Civil/Structural engineering
·  Solid foundation in the principles of mechanics.
·  Good verbal and written communication skills
·  Proficient in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, or RAM
·  Familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318
·  Experience in field and/or lab preferred.

Salary Range 80k to 130k
