Project Advisory

Dispute Resolution

Job Description
The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting project assignments from initial kick-off through preparation of deliverables including presentations and reports with a focus in scheduling issues, project controls, cost overruns, and change orders/claims. The successful candidate aspires to a level of expertise and industry reputation with the goal of providing expert testimony within a 3 to 5 year timeframe. Specific project responsibilities include the support of and/or direct execution of the following:
· Prepare, update, maintain, and analyze schedules
· Develop project schedules and/or implement critical path method (CPM) delay analyses
· Interface with clients and project stakeholders
· Provide client/PM team with information pertinent to the status of the engagement
· Assist in the evaluation and preparation of claims pertinent to project management, engineering/construction, quantification of costs, evaluation of progress, evaluation of time extension and issues involving schedule delays and acceleration, disruption, productivity, work scope changes, drawings and specifications, and site conditions
· Conduct in-depth factual and data-driven research and evaluation of project documentation and data such as contemporaneous communications, change orders, schedules, pay apps, cost reports, etc.
· Analyze key project data including critical path schedules, acceleration programs, resource utilization, labor reports, and costs
· Assist in the analysis and/or preparation of claims and reports
· Create demonstratives and graphics for expert reports and presentations
· Work effectively on multiple projects with competing priorities
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction-related industry experience and written communication skills. Candidate should have a Construction Management/Construction Science degree, Engineering degree, or similar. Candidate should have an understanding of construction basics, including construction documents and construction management procedures such as project controls, scheduling, engineering, estimation, and construction contracts. Additionally, candidates must have a working knowledge in the following:
· Excellent technical writing skills
· Expertise with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, large data management, and graphic communication tools
· Expertise with MS Office Products (especially Word and Excel)
· Testimony experience is preferred but not required
· US-based or valid work permit if applicable
· Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) preferred.
