We are looking for creative and ambitious individuals looking to gain knowledge in the field of Architecture or Engineering and expand their technical skills.

Job Description

Interns will report to an Associate level or designee level staff member within our Building Envelope division. In this role you will be exposed to a variety of projects ranging from new wall construction to upgrades, maintenance and repositioning of existing buildings. The ideal candidate understands commitment, contribution, development, and communication.

 

What you will do:

·  Understand exterior wall construction project phases including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documents.
·  Routine visits to selected job sites with our technical project team members to experience "field" work.
·  Gain knowledge of tools and equipment used in field analysis of materials and structures.
·  Work with other interns in the program to cross reference knowledge and experiences.

Qualifications

·  Sophomore, junior or senior with concentration of studies in Architecture or Engineering.
·  Master's students considered with undergraduate degree or master's program in Architecture or Engineering studies.
·  Knowledge of broad architectural design theories/concepts and specific structural theories/concepts related to exterior wall construction.
·  Not afraid of heights or limit space
·  Ability to read and interpret basic architecture or engineering concepts.
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment, to think outside the box, and solve complex problems.
·  This is a full-time program with 4 days a week from June to August and must be available.
