Mission

Description of the Business Line or Department

Market Analysts & Certification Community (MACC) Department role are to strengthen their expertise in the analysis of results and risks and increase their proximity with trading activities. MACC's major stakes is to meet the regulatory challenges, accompany the development of the business lines and to enable GBS to meet its ambitions in terms of client satisfaction and efficiency. Ultimately, MACC task is to ensure that MARK, RISQ and DFIN are able to carry out their respective roles within a carefully-controlled risk and cost management structure.

Summary of the Key Purposes of the Role

• Work closely with each BL in support of any global initiatives impacting the BL workflow
• Work independently and leverage across many teams/functions to assess issues, quantify their impact and provide suggestions for remediation
• Maintain a strong relationship with Global Process Owners (GPO) to ensure that the processes are globally aligned

Summary of Responsibilities

Based in London, you will join Market Product Control team. Your role:
• Follow and comment UK PnL and Risk.
• Produce KPI for UK trading desk.
• Perform daily controls (validation, KPI…) .
• Work on regulatory topics for UK desks: Volker, French Banking Law

Level of Autonomy and Authority

• A high degree of autonomy as the individual would be expected to operate with minimal supervision, report on a timely basis and escalate issues to management at the appropriate time.
• Indirect management and necessity to liaise with numerous teams within the bank inclusive of other Product controller's teams in Paris.
• Need to be autonomous and able to report alert to MACC UK management.
• Need to have a very strong knowledge on VBA code

• Ability to Work Under Pressure: ability to handle high business requirements
• Teamwork: able to integrate a multi-cultural team

Work Experience

• Ideally, experience in Investment Banking with exposure to all Market Trading and Products
• Preferably deep knowledge in Fixed Income exotic products

Education

• Msc Mathematics with specialization in Finance or equivalent

Languages

• English
• French (beneficial)
