Environment

The Information Technology Division (“ITEC”) has worldwide responsibility for supplying “Global Banking & Investor Solutions” (“GBIS”) divisions with all the IT resources necessary for them to function under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost.

ITEC is composed of talented professionals who every day translates ideas into action by combining the strength of our expertise in IT with a deep understanding of investment banking. Our teams are ensuring that we deliver the service our businesses need to compete and serve Société Générale's clients. Our objective is to deliver great production services in a well controlled, high quality and cost effective way, and to deliver competitive application systems that allow GBIS to grow its business in existing and new markets, launch new products and take advantage of new opportunities when they arise.

ITEC is responsible for facilitating entry to new markets, compliance with regulatory needs, growth in business volumes, and operational efficiency improvements in our overall front to back processing environment.

ITEC/FCC (Financing & Client Coverage Solutions) is a department that provides IT solutions to the Global Finance and Investment Banking (“GFIB”) business line for structured finance, trade finance, asset-backed products, and securitization activities.

Key ITEC/FCC applications include LoanIQ (Structured Finance), allTRA (Trade Finance), LoanTrak (Loan Trading), Pre-closing and other internal and external applications and tools.

Mission

The main tasks related to the production support analyst role include, but are not limited to:

 - Provide prompt resolution of functional and technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate chain of command. The user community includes and is not limited to staff from the following functions: front office, middle office, back office, compliance, risk , technology, accounting.

- Create and industrialize tools for securing production operations.

 - Solve functional problems in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architectures at regional and / or global level. Multitasking environment.

- Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes the requirements of the documentation system and the documentation of the support booklet.

 - Communicate with users about application failures

 - Liaise with development teams in Bangalore, New York and Paris.

 - Help configure the installation as requested by users and monitoring platforms.

 - Understand the regulatory environment and constraints.

 - Manage queries and occasional requests for data search of users.

 - Respond to end users within the time frame given by the severity of the problem, and document and track (case histories, issues and steps) the response.

 - Search for technical processes using sources such as error logs and technical documentation of the product; and identify solutions to solve problems or improve efficiency.

 - Respect internal standards, standards and IT processes.

- Understand service level agreements and execute crisis management process when relevant

- Report project production and status to customer and IT management in a timely manner

 - Effective and efficient oral and written communication to various audiences at appropriate levels.

 - Partnership with global IT teams (Paris / Asia) to provide quality support to our end users.

 - Effectively manage the customer relationship with the end user community.

Technical knowledge:

- Experience querying databases and analyzing fairly complex stored procedures using tools such as Oracle SQL developer

- Experience reading logs from Windows & Unix batches and processes and troubleshooting them

- Good understanding of interfaces in a complex information systems

- Knowledge of the concept of scheduling and experience of Autosys is a plus

- Understanding of the file transfer process

- Strong interest in automation and innovation

Functional knowledge:

- Strong interest for trade finance and financing processing is strongly desired

- Knowledge of the regulatory environment & global payment processing related to trade finance and financing is a plus

- Experience in a back office position is a plus

Languages:

- French and English are required

Education:

- Bachelor of computer science or other related university degree
