Responsibilities
Description of the Business Line or Department
The FIG M&A team is involved in the origination and execution of M&A transactions in the financial institutions landscape, working across multiple geographies.
Start Date: June 2019 to August 2019
Summary of the key purposes of the role
· This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to get involved in a rapidly changing industry landscape in Europe
· The candidate will receive a very well rounded perspective of the development of global financial services in this position, and will be joining an award winning team in a hard working but friendly atmosphere

· The position will be based in London within the FIG M&A team
The candidate will be covering multiple financial subsectors and geographies, and will be involved in all M&A execution as well as origination of new deals
Summary of responsibilities
· Assisting in origination and execution of M&A transactions across the FIG sector
· Involved in industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis and financial modelling
· Involved in the preparation and pitching of presentations for clients, investors and the broader investment community
Profile Required
Competencies
· University graduate, ideally with internship or work experience in corporate finance / accountancy / financial services industry
· Genuine interest in Banks, Insurance, Exchanges and other financial industry sub sectors
· Top financial modelling and analytical skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point and Word
· Articulate, corporate and well presented
· Highly motivated and committed to the job
· Detail oriented and diligent
· Sense for urgency
· Multitasking capabilities
· Entrepreneurial initiative
· Strong team player
WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior M&A experience is preferable but not required
EDUCATION
Excellent academic record with a minimum of a 2.1 degree or 1st obtained from a top rated University or equivalent
LANGUAGES
English, second language fluency is a plus
