Responsibilities

The V.I.E will work alongside 4 relationship managers (RM) in the coverage department within Société Générale's Corporate & Investment Banking division.

The Coverage & Investment Banking division , offers a global advisory approach, focused on a strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, it offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG Group (Global Transaction and Payment Services, Investment Banking, Financial Markets Solutions and other Commercial Banking activities).

SG's Stockholm branch was created to better serve a key clientele consisting of private and public Corporates, Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies and Sovereigns by delivering appropriate solutions from across the SG Group.

In your role as a junior RM, you will be part of a business and client-driven coverage organization and work closely with Senior Bankers, Relationship Managers and the various Sales teams covering Large Nordic Corporate Clients .

Your mission can be summarized as follows:

·  Participate in the production of business cases to define and enable the bank's strategy towards key Nordic clients.
·  Prepare tailored presentations for clients to support senior relationship managers in the business relationship.
·  Perform profitability calculations in order to advise relationship managers on the impact new deals have on the overall client relationship profitability:
·  Calculate key metrics i.e Net Banking Income (NBI), Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), Regulatory Gross Client Profitability (RGCP), Risk-Adjusted Return On Risk Capital (RARORC) and create sensitivity analysis reports.
·  Structure and price commercial loans (Term Loan, Revolving Credit Facility).
·  Support the coverage team with the objective of expanding SG Stockholm's client franchise and grow revenues across business lines:
·  Conduct internal reviews and follow up on client action plans, analyze business potential & cross-selling opportunities, as well as participate in meetings with salespeople to identify opportunities and gaps.
·  Act as a liaison between teams with different functions from different parts of the bank (e.g. Stockholm, London, Paris)
·  Carry ad-hoc analysis on clients & prospects, as well as market/industry trends.
·  Create Excel reports on Net Banking Income for client portfolios split by e.g. teams, geography, products …

Profile required

Academic Background & Work Experience

·  Master degree level in Finance or any other relevant field (Business School, University).
·  Interest in corporate and investment banking and an academic background in finance, economics and/or accounting.
·  Knowledge of the European financial environment (in terms of banking regulation, economic trends, markets) is appreciated.
·  Previous experience in the banking industry is desirable.

Linguistic Skills

·  Mandatory: French and English (Fluent verbal and written).
·  Additional languages: Any Nordic language is a plus but not required.

IT Skills

·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
·  Experience working with and analyzing financial data is a preferred.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Stockholm is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Please see www.civiweb.com, in order to have more details regarding your financial indemnities.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
