Mission

DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS LINE OR DEPARTMENT

Responsible for IT maintenance of the GMI Back Office Application, including testing vendor upgrades, disaster recovery tests, capacity simulations, Audit and Regulatory requests, maintaining PROD stability and assisting with high-level PROD issues

SUMMARY

Technical analysis for converting the GMI application over to “Regional Processing”
Implementation of the new Regional Processing on test boxes
Regression testing and capacity testing of new Regional Processing setups

RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out detailed analysis of existing core GMI night batches for conversion to Regional processing
Create new night batches for multi-streamed Regional processing
Design and execute test script for unit tests, regression tests and capacity tests
Participate in project meetings as subject matter expert and/or GMI technical lead, under the supervision of a Project Manager.
Assist or Drive Analysis, Design, Development, Test, Implementation
Document and analyse required information and data
Comply with IT governance principles: SLDC, FISP, PMO, Project Management

COMPETENCIES AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Excellent analytical skills and self-starter with ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (organized and to the point)
Excellent organization skills (note taking, follow-up calls, form filing, etc.) in order to track out-standing issues for rapid and accurate solutions.
Excellent ability to learn from documentation manuals and ‘on the job' training.
Adaptable, reliable, quality-oriented.
Project Planning and ability to follow-up with numerous end-users or application owners within the framework of global implementations.
Very good practice of the Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Strong SQL knowledge and practice.
Good knowledge of the financial listed and OTC derivatives products.
Experience with SunGard GMI application.
Experience with Iseries system, OS400 operating system.
Experience working at an FCM or Investment Bank.
Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): user requirements gathering, technical specification writing, test script design, UAT and regression testing, user sign-off and deployment.
Experience in the Turnover application for release management.
Ability to read/understand CL and RPG programming languages
