At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Finance division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services. This division oversees the quality and delivery of financial statements for GBIS, the independent certification of financial data for various activities, and also provides day-to-day explanations on profit and loss for market activities.

The team is responsible for all elements surrounding costs and NBI ranging from monthly close process, monthly and long range forecasts, cost and revenue structure analytics, and reporting.

Mission

Your role

Your main responsibilities will be:

·  Assisting with preparation of monthly Financial Management packs covering P&L, revenue and expense analysis and other relevant financial information
·  Liaise with Financial Control around the completion of accurate month-end postings and reporting
·  Create visibility into expense drivers though robust reporting and analysis
·  Liaison with other entities to understand / explain inter-entity charges
·  Support monthly and yearly closing
·  Analyze large set of clients data, prepare clients profitability reports
·  Any ad hoc queries related to the financial reporting
·  Assisting with other accounting projects
·  Assisting in production of monthly volume reports, quarterly VAT return and support annual audit

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Your profile

Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Accounting/ Finance.

You ideally have a previous experiencein an accounting / reporting function.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient with MS Office;Accessand VBA would be an advantage.
