Description of the Business Line or Department
At Société Générale, you will be joining Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), our business that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, and Asset Management and Investor Services.

The position is based within the UK Equity Derivatives Sales team which offers a wide range of products and service to UK and Europe based Hedges Funds and Asset Managers. As VIE, you will be part of a team of 8 people and will be working on our fast paced trading floor.


Summary of the key purposes of the role
Your role will be to support the UK Sales force on day-to-day tasks and cooperate with Sales, trading and engineering in order to improve products and markets knowledge and help to develop innovative solutions.

If the candidate is successful in the above tasks, he will be allowed to communicate and trade with clients (after FCA approval).

Summary of responsibilities
• Onboard clients
• Send daily reports
• Check pre-trade formalities (including credit risk, documentation etc)
• Liaise with middle and back offices to handle post-trades formalities
• Contribute to the improvement of internal tools and processes
• Develop understanding of markets, products and client needs
• Backtest strategies
• Propose trade ideas
• Manage client requests and executing clients' orders (after FCA approval).

Your profile

Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University in Finance/Mathematics
You have strong understanding of financial markets and derivatives specifically.
You ideally have a previous experience in a bank or financial institution.
You have a very good command of MS Office applications. VBA and Bloomberg are a plus.
You are fluent in English.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Londonis to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .
