Mission

Description of the Business Line or Department

GLFI/CMK/DCM is responsible for addressing borrowers' needs in terms of raising and managing capital in the debt capital markets.

The client base for DCM includes corporate borrowers, financial institutions, public sector and sovereigns, as well as non-investment grade (high yield) issuers globally.

In terms of debt origination, DCM's activity covers issuance of bonds of various kinds, including hybrid capital and liability management advisory. DCM's activity also covers transaction management advisory.

The internship will be based in London, starting as soon as possible.

Summary of the Key Purposes of the Role

• Assist the team in preparing marketing materials & executing transactions

• Build a strong experience on Debt Capital Markets products

• Ensure permanent monitoring of the market (deal flows, news flow, ...)

Summary of Responsibilities

• Help prepare marketing materials for client pitches
• Update existing databases for bond transactions and related issues
• Draft weekly emails on the bond-related developments, including market and regulatory updates, with colleagues
• Prepare research tools: re-useable spreadsheets, templates, deal reports...
• Develop an understanding of client needs
• Show creativity in generating marketing related initiatives and ideas with other team members

Intern – any contact to external parties should be supervised and authorised by relevant managers.

Work Experience

• Any previous internship related to capital markets would be desirable.

Education

• Ideally capital markets finance, but finance in general is also fine

Languages

• Fluent in English (written and spoken), and one or several Nordic language would be a plus
