SOCIETE GENERALE CIB.The position is based within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) coverage team (CORI)
CORI, the Coverage and Investment Banking division of SG CIB, offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, CORI offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG Group (Global Markets, Investment Banking and commercial banking activities).
FIG, The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) was created to better serve a key clientele (banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions) with specific needs by gathering the intelligence and the technical expertise necessary to cover Financial Institutions.
Main Roles and Responsibilities You will be part of a business and client-driven coverage organization (CORI/CLT/FIG) to work closely with Bankers and Analysts in the FIG universe and all sales involved on Swiss Financial Institutions.

Your role
Your mission can be summarized as follows
- Provide the best level of services and support to our strategic clients alongside the bankers
- Expand FIG client base and grow significantly global revenue potential at the group level (Investment Banking services Global Markets Flow products)
- Develop an expertise on a specific sector/markets to provide the team with consistent market research (Banks, Insurance, Hedge funds, Asset Managers, Emerging market, Supranational organizations,etc)
- Operational efficiency: participate to the design and the implement transversal process to optimize the FIs coverage model and be aligned with SG group strategy on FIG clients;
- Provide to management with profitability reports and business opportunities
The new joiner will work in a challenging fast paced environment. The team function is hybrid between Financial Markets (Fixed Income & Currencies, Equity, Commodities and Cross assets Structured products) and Support Teams (Risk, Compliance, KYC, On Boarding):
- Perform Economic and Financial analysis on Key clients and prospects.
- Conduct industry research including: peers analysis, sector/country studies.
- Prepare presentation and marketing materials for use in client meetings and transaction execution, covering topics such as financing alternatives, capital markets activity, capital structure advice, treasury services, and derivatives.
- Conduct internal reviews and follow up action plan per client/portfolio: analyze business potential and cross selling opportunities, participate to interviews with salespeople to identify the opportunities/gaps.
- Monitor Market trends and track client performance.
- Understand the impact of new regulation, market evolution on Financial Institutions clients and SG offer (Basel III, Slovency II, EMIR and MIFID).
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Geneve is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Graduate with a Master degree from a University or Business School with a specialization in Finance.
You have a past experience in Finance or in the bank sector.
You are interested in the market Finance and especially the Switzerland Market.
You are fluent in English and French (German would be a plus)
