SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across
Europe, the Americas and Asia.
SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.
APAC Compliance maintains a local presence in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan (90+ staff in total). Our primary focus is to support GBIS activities (MARK
- global capital markets & GLFI – global structured finance). The allocation of resources in the region is proportionate to company staffing, size of business activities and local regulatory constraints.
Hong Kong is the regional business and Compliance hub. The team is approx. 35+ staff and split into 6 areas of expertise.

In other countries, we have multi disciplinary compliance teams covering all functions.
The candidate will be a member of the Hong Kong Compliance department under the Compliance Risk Assessment,
Monitoring and Testing (AMT) team. The AMT team manages the Compliance Risk Assessment framework and carries
out monitoring and testing assignments.
At Société Générale, you will be joining the Group General Secretariat (SEGL). SEGL monitors the administrative, legal
and tax compliance of the Group's businesses in France and the rest of the world, in liaison with the Central Divisions, Core Businesses and other Societe Generale group entities. It is responsible for permanent control forlegal and tax risks and risks of non-compliance under the conditions set out in Directive no.86 (Compliance Monitoring). It is responsible for the Group's compliance function. It coordinates and manages Group insurance. It also supervises the development of the Corporate Social Responsibility policy within the Societe Generale group.
Missions
Your role
The candidate will have exposure to all the functions within the Compliance Risk Assessment, Monitoring and Testing (AMT) context. The jobs assignment will be based on individual aptitude and experience level.
The candidate will assist the annual Compliance Risk Assessment exercise. The candidate would need to liaise with all the relevant stakeholders and to critically assess information received and to be able to articulate the information in a concise manner. The candidate would also need to be detail oriented to detect inconsistency, highlight trends and be insightful to interpret information received.
The candidate will carry out testing assignments. The candidate would need to be able to understand the products/
processes, their relevant risks and controls, then be able to review the effectiveness of the designs, the performance of the controls and to opine on the matters.
The candidate will be engaged in stakeholders management exercise, to network and to keep close relationship with stakeholders.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and
the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from

Profil
Your profile
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Audit or Finance.
Ideally you have past experience in Investment Banking (preferably in Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, or Operations)
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
