The Summer Analyst Program provides knowledge of banking, our businesses, and culture that will enable you to succeed long-term in this fast-paced and challenging sector; it is also the main pipeline into our Full-Time Analyst Program. The 10-week (June – August) Summer Internship includes opportunities located in New York, Chicago, and Jersey City, NJ. The program will enable you to benefit from ongoing networking and development opportunities inside and outside of your assigned team.
You will be assigned to One of the Following Teams:
· AUDIT: The SGUS Audit Department (AUD) within DCPE is a group of professionals responsible for assessing control environment in SG's multiple businesses in the Americas region.
· FINANCE: The Division of Finance (DFIN) within GBS ensures the analysis and reporting of all the finance activity for SG in the AMER region.
· OPERATIONS: The Operations team (OPER) ensures the processing and control of Global Banking Investor Solutions (GBIS) activities.
Mission
Past Intern Projects Have Included:
· AUDIT: Participation in audits of Primary Dealer, Quarterly Treasury Auction, Anti-Bribery and in Annual Risk Assessments; Assist Chief of Staff team with the development of department Communication Portal, on boarding program, consolidation of training data and Quality Assurance reviews
· FINANCE: FINANCE: Financial Statement Analysis, Market Valuation of Investments, Liquidity Measurement and Stress Testing, Financial Supervision and Controls, Monthly Market Certification Practices, Expense Support Expertise, Annual Audit Compilations, Broker Dealer and Bank Regulatory Reporting
· OPERATIONS: Workflow documentation, credit analysis of public and private entities, trade lifecycle management, customer relationship management, client on boarding and KYC related projects
