Responsibilities
Base Salary Range: $58,240 - $69,888
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
MAC (MTR Automation Center) is a young and dynamic team based in Montreal and New York.
Its main goal is the bring value to GBSU Markets units through innovation and automation. This is performed based on the following three (3) streams:
- Automation: Identify areas where they could bring value to IT and Operation teams by automating their manual tasks
- IT tactical solutions: Prioritize IT/Operation teams of the MTR unit first and then other units/regions
- Innovation: Focus on new technologies to provide tactical solutions as fast as possible
The successful candidate will join the MAC team as a full stack developer, implementing and supporting tools automating manual tasks and processes around Market Transversal activities. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work on all streams of a project: Defining the business requirements and discussing with End Users, developing the desired solution, testing it, deploying it, and maintaining it.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
· Develop, test, and maintain tools to enforce automatization processes and digitalization
· Gather and analyse business requirements by communicating with users
· Follow and enforce the implementation of the Agile Methodology within the team
· Provide support on day-to-day operations supporting Defect, Problem, and Crisis processes
Technical stack used in the team:
· Front: Angular / React
· Back-end: Python, Java / Springboot
· Deployment: Kubernetes/Docker
· Automation: Jenkins
· Databases: PostgreSQL
· Repo: Github Profile required
Profile:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
· A previous experience in Web application development is an asset
· Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills, working across multiple stakeholders and functions
· Ability and willingness to upskill on new technologies
· Good knowledge of REST API principles and SQL language
· Analytical and organizational skills.
· Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a very dynamic environment, with rapidly changing priorities.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· Good written and communication skills.
Desired / Plus:
· Knowledge on Public Cloud and Azure.
Knowledge in AI/ML, automation, and innovation
