Société Générale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payments & Cash Management (PCM), Cash Clearing services (BAN), Trade Finance services (TRA), Factoring (CGA) and Foreign Exchange services (FX) associated to these activities.
With over 6,000 specialists in over 50 countries, Payments & Cash Management (PCM) is a strategic activity for Société Générale. We can offer the expertise of a large international banking group and experience spanning over many years.
Cash Management includes all the processes companies use to improve their treasury management. It allows companies to have better control of their financial and cash flows and to improve their information gathering. In a group of companies, Cash management can be used to manage risks such as liquidity risk. It is also used to control interest and exchange rates which may affect the company.
The Swiss Payments & Cash Management team deliver and support transactional banking products and services that are provided to our corporate customers including:
· Bank account management
· Execution and settlement of domestic and international payment orders and collection services
· Secure electronic channels for the exchange of balance and transaction information and payment orders
· Financing arrangements where we provide intraday and overnight facilities
· Domestic and international inter-company cash pooling and netting
Period of internship: 18 months
Mission:
You will be able to bring your expertise and learn a lot on the Compliance / Regulatory environment in which Banks evolve nowadays. You will also gain Commercial exposure and interactions with different stakeholders.
Tasks and responsibilities:
You will be fully part of our team and your efforts will be expected in the following fields:
· Support the KYC collection process – KYC (Know Your Customer) represents a wide range of activities that enables Société Générale to conduct business with its corporate clients
· Support our clients in their day-to-day interactions with the bank related to their cash management and payments
· Support the team with any administrative / follow up / investigations tasks
· Get familiar with our processes. Once mastered, you will be requested to support their enhancement, if possible
· Work on special projects linked to the automation / transformation of our processes
Profile required
Studies & experience:
· University degree with a specialty in Law / Compliance
Language skills:
· German C2
· English B2
· French A2
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of application, especially Word and Excel regulatory skills
