Job description

If you have a passion for research, here's a fantastic opportunity to really make a splash in the commercial recruitment and education sectors. Join SMRS as Research Coordinator and enjoy the perfect chance to develop your skills and career as you get under the skin of our clients and their sectors and deliver high-quality solutions.

We're a communications business. So when our clients need to attract or engage people in places of work or study, we make that happen. As Research Coordinator, you'll carry out desk-based research, partner on focus groups and interviews, co-write proposals and debriefs, support the design of topic guides, and develop questionnaires and online surveys. You'll also raise the profile of research internally, from updating our newsletter, project updates and online one-stop-shops, to writing blogs that showcase our exciting work.

Research at SMRS is as varied as it is innovative. Supporting both our London and Manchester offices, you could find yourself co-presenting at meetings and developing exciting new research ideas. You'll be encouraged to develop your flair for all forms of research, keeping up-to-date with all the latest trends - from attending events to reviewing industry news. We'll expect you to share knowledge and findings across the agency, create a real buzz for research by bringing it to life, make sure that research and client services work in perfect harmony, and help identify new research opportunities.

While previous experience in research would be ideal, what's essential is a genuine interest in market research. We are looking for a true multi-tasker, someone who's analytical, at ease with statistics, and able to draw connections in data. A conscientious and enthusiastic self-starter with a genuine desire to learn and progress you'll love the challenge of fast-turnaround projects and be keen to make a difference. And as you'd expect, great communication skills as well as a sense of humour will also be key.
