Job Summary:

We have exciting opportunities for proactive, competent planners to join our established supply chain team which have arisen within the Global Supply Chain department to work alongside existing and longstanding members of the team. The purpose of these roles is work collaboratively and manage the supply planning, ordering and distribution of an assigned portfolio of products through the Global Supply Chain network. The success of the role will be demonstrated by achieving a high level of service (OTIF), identifying short and long-term Sales and Operations plan risks and opportunities, optimizing inventory (value and turns), reducing write-off, distribution and sourcing costs, and other assigned objectives within agreed timelines.

What will the role entail?

You may be involved in the following activities as part of your day to day responsibilities:

·  Develop monthly / weekly supply plans to meet forecasted demand requirements, while optimizing capacity, inventory and financial objectives.
·  Review and adjust safety and target stocks, re-order points and Kanban levels of finished goods throughout the GSC network on a quarterly basis.
·  Review daily and weekly service, backorders, stock cover and demand reports, sequence un-forecasted and emergency medical orders, providing supply priorities to each manufacturing site and accurate product availability information to Global Customer Service and regional / global business units as required.
·  Lead the Sales and Operations Planning process by preparing and presenting 24 month supply graphs; identify risks and opportunities for supply plans, capacity, inventory, demand and market developments, make recommendations, and agree appropriate and timely actions with relevant functional areas.
·  Maximise OTIF and deployment of inventory in a cost effective manner.
·  Steer Excess and Obsolete stock reviews with Demand and Finance teams, drive actions to prevent and reduce write-off or if necessary escalate issues to global reviews.
·  Support New Product Implementation (NPI), product transfers and integration activities, as may be assigned within team.
·  Monitor supplier performance and work with Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing teams in implementing remedial actions.
·  Where appropriate, manage execution of the Pull replenishment process.
·  Be an effective team player, participate and support Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Improvement and Lean Daily Management processes.
·  Perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality Systems standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and EN46000.
·  Apply high standards of Health & Safety in the workplace and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Desired profile

Qualifications:

·  College Degree in a business related discipline preferred.
· 
Or equivalent qualification with a substantial amount of experience in a similar planning / supply chain role.

Experience, Attributes and Knowledge:

· 
Experienced in supply planning, inventory management, MRP, demand management, logistics or purchasing is key here.

·  Excellent knowledge of global supply chain management would be key.
·  Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Proficient computer skills – MS Office applications, SAP, Infor or other ERP systems.
·  Logical and structured approach to work organisation and execution.
·  Strong interpersonal and English communication skills; culturally aware and able to forge strong business relationships with a global supplier and customer base.
·  Other language skills (Spanish, Chinese or others) would be an advantage but not essential.
·  APICS or similar certification a plus, or willingness to pursue certification.
