Smile Plastics reimagines waste into art materials, creating 100% recycled decorative plastic panels for artists and designers. The brand dates back to 1993 with its products used extensively in residential and commercial spaces all over the world including Paul Smith, The Body Shop, Lush, V&A Museum, Selfridges, National Trust and the Wellcome Trust.
Smile Plastics has recently been taken on by a couple of designers who have brought the much loved products back to the market and are looking to expand and refocus the business on bespoke materials and finished goods.
This is a very exciting time to join Smile Plastics, offering the successful candidate an insight into a dynamic start up environment and a chance to make a huge impact in the business. We require a self starter with a passion for design and sustainability who can fit into our small team and identify opportunities to add value.

Your Responsibilities:
- Design some packaging for homeware and accessories products
- Review and redesign some of our website
- Design a new pop up space
- Improve the design of our brochures and other copy
- Source/make fantastic images of our products
- Support the creation of a crowdfunding video

Desired profile

Successful candidates will:
- Be proficient in the Adobe Suite
- Have a keen interest in branding and design and be able to show a portfolio of work with us
- Know how to take a good photo
- Ideally have some experience of updating wordpress websites
- Determination and motivation to achieve results in an uncertain environment
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and hit the ground running. Ability to both identify problems and find creative solutions
- Ability to work flexibly depending on the work coming in
