Job description

A sales support internship is available in the commercial team at Smartsave, an on line marketing platform which promotes attractions and restaurants in the UK and US to consumers looking for savings and benefits.
The discounts are provided through our website www.smartsave.com as well as our street map promoted through hotels - London for Less and a range of travel apps (www.forlessguides.com)

The current internship is available on a part time or on a full time basis.

The job role will be to:

Contact new partners directly to promote the Smartsave platform and its benefits
Assist the Commercial Manager and Account Manager in researching new potential partners in the US and UK
Communicate with current partners, to find out event updates to showcase on our website. This involves communications via email, via telephone and face to face with a wide range of professional tourism partners.
Update the database
Contact any potential advertisers who may be interested in advertising on our London and New York maps
Identifying any commercial opportunities that may benefit the company
Sales support/admin

Smartsave.com is part of the Metropolis International Group Limited ,a media group, established in 1994, that specialises in consumer, business and travel publishing alongside websites, Apps, awards, events, public sector contracts and reward & benefit programmes for consumers and corporate partners. Show an excellent level of written and spoken English
Interested in working in a commercial sales environment within a small team
• Confident and polite telephone manner with excellent interpersonal skills
• Confident in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good time management skills and an organised manner
• Able to provide innovative ideas and a fresh view-point and to express these proposals to the team
