Programmer / Developer – Python / Django, Salary negotiable dependant on experience, Based in Chester
We have a number of exciting opportunities for Programmers / Developers with experience of Python and / or Django to work for a Chester based digital / web solutions business. The business operate in a niche sector and are involved in the delivery of key bespoke web development and digital projects globally. Working in a primarily web based development environment, the purpose of the role will be to develop bespoke websites and new features of the company’s proprietary platform for key client projects adhering to client specifications and quality standards. There are positions at all levels and we are keen to hear from Senior Developers / programmers to graduate Developers / Programmers looking for their first career opportunity in the commercial world.
Programmer / Developer Candidate Requirements;
- Ideally fluent in Python, with knowledge of Django or other Python-based frameworks
- Knowledge of database design using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Knowledge of NoSQL based databases advantageous, but not essential
- Knowledge of web development using CSS, Javascript, HTML, and XHTML
- Knowledge of other web based technologies such as XML, and web service interfaces
- Basic knowledge of Apache and / or Nginx web servers
- Confident with unix-based systems such as Linux, Debian, or MacOS
- Ability to develop to the best accessibility guidelines and W3C coding standards
- An understanding of other programming languages such as C++, Java, and PHP would be advantageous
