Job description
With 20 years of experience around the world and 740 people operating out of 20 countries, Sixense provides risk mitigation solutions supported by high quality instrumentation and monitoring services. We detect, measure and model structural, geotechnical and environmental behaviours for owners and contractors.
Currently we are looking for capable and independent individuals for the position of Survey Technician. The successful applicant will be deployed in on a large infrastructure project in Auckland.
Position:
This is a superb opportunity for someone who is looking to be learn about cutting edge survey monitoring techniques and a major infrastructure project in Auckland. The position will be in our Mount Eden office and will involve both field and office work. Under direction and with support of the project manager, you will be responsible for installing robotic surveying instruments, managing data coming into our system and maintaining our survey network as a whole.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate must have:
- Surveying Diploma or Degree.
- Experience working on large construction projects is an advantage.
- High level of awareness of safety and understanding of safety procedures
- Ability to manipulate data in a variety of ways (including Excel) and aptitude/eagerness to learn new software.
- Ability to self-start and drive their own schedule.
- Proven ability to stick at problems and successfully troubleshoot.
- Eligible to work unrestricted in New Zealand
- Driver's License
