Sixense UK is experienced in working on major and complex projects, our UK team supports an impressive portfolio including Crossrail, Thames Tideway and HS2, as well as specialising in the protection of critical rail assets as part of major station upgrade projects such as Kings Cross, Tottenham Court Rd and Bond Street.
Due to our expanding workload we currently have a number of opportunities for Project Managers to work in our instrumentation and monitoring team on major civil engineering infrastructure projects in the Birmingham area.
YOUR MISSIONS WITH US:
• Project Management:
Reporting to our Project Director, you will be responsible for delivery of significant sections of work on a major infrastructure monitoring project. You will lead teams and be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are executed to a professional level, to time and to budget whilst maintaining our high standards of Health and Safety, optimising opportunities and ensuring compliance with company management systems.
• Technical:
You will be able to understand client/project needs, working with our surveyors and engineers to develop and deliver instrumentation and monitoring solutions. You will also provide specialist input, including attending meetings, undertaking technical reviews and producing reports, ensuring a high-quality output.
• Health and Safety:
Leading by example, you will be responsible for safe delivery of the works. You will assist with preparation of project Health and Safety documentation in accordance with our ISO 45001 accreditation, including method statements, risk assessments and task briefings. You will carry out site inspections and audits with other members of the team.
• Commercial:
You will be required to maintain control of costs and manage commercial and contractual aspects of your project areas in accordance with the contract. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly dashboards, results, forecasts and risk management. You will also assist with preparation and revision of programmes in line with contract requirements.

Secondly, for such a position you must have:
- Relevant industry experience, ideally including instrumentation and monitoring projects or rail and transport infrastructure projects
- Experience of leading delivery on complex engineering projects
- Must hold a CSCS card to the required level (white, gold, black)
- Ability to manage multiple activities and project teams
- Ability to interface with clients, consultants and asset owners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
